New Arrival: Busou Shinki Proxima

Suddenly, another figure.  But hey, Figma Ika Musume doesn’t ship until near the end of the month instead of her original release date of the end of March.  Proxima’s also counting as a [PURGED BY ORDER OF THE INQUISITION]

Busou Shinki Type-Centaur Proxima, ordered from the Time Lords at Mandarake.  That means she’s used goods.  A dirty, used whorse.

But as always, something being “used” from Mandarake seems to really mean “opened and taken out once, and immediately put back in the box”.  Kinda late to the game with her, though, as Proxima’s been out for quite a while.  But I was getting the Shinki bug again, and I didn’t feel like waiting an unknown amount of time for the bike girls to get released, so I went ahead and grabbed one of the others I’ve been interested in.

No “accessories” picture this time, though, since Shinkis have a smorgasbord of parts.  Most of the parts make up the battle mode armor, and there’s also a Shinki-standard set of hands, three faces, a stand, and a variety of bits used for coming up with your own configurations and mixing things up.  I’m not very creative at this, so there’s not going to be any original configurations from me.

Also this post will probably be pretty crappy since I never know what I’m doing.  I still need to fix some lighting issues.

Polymer Chaos #157: You’re So Beta

It seems Blizzard wanted to get a head start on taking over my life once again. Well, it’s working.

This really isn’t going to help me keep my sleep schedule, especially on weekends.

New Arrival: DC Unlimited Tychus Findlay

Probably never know what I’m doing, or why I’m doing it (other than for the hits…).  But whatever!  Guess I haven’t done one of these in like a month.  Holy shit!

Amazingly, it’s a non-Japanese figure for a change.  This is DC Unlimited’s Marine Tychus Findlay, from StarCraft II.  He’s available from Blizzard’s online store for $32, but I purchased mine from Amazon because free shipping.

This is also my first chance to do a post like this using the crude light box I put together, and it’s working out quite nicely.

Polymer Chaos #156: Well-Suited

Blarg, lighting is kind of shit.  But that’s what I get for trying to use a kitchen light against a sun-lit door like that with a point-and-shoot.

Also, it took me about ten minutes to get those bottles to stay in there like that.

A “New Arrival” post for the Tychus figure is forthcoming!

Polymer Order #4: Sunday School Lesson

Dear sisters and brothers in Christ! Let us once again give thanks to Him that is holy, that we may be able to enjoy the fruits of His creation.

Today, with the inspiration that could only come from Christ, I have decided to share with you an interpretation of a wonderful tale from the holy Bible. It is quite the excellent passage, and I think we can all take its lessons to heart, so that we may be better followers of Christ.

Lord, may Your light shine upon our collectible figures, so that they may never break and remain steadfast in their devotion to You!
